Effects of angiotensin I converting enzyme inhibitors with ¥á-adrenergic drugs on the locomotive activity in rats
ÇãÀÎȸ/Huh, In Hoi
Abstract
After captopril and pentopril, angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitors, were administred to normal or reserpinized rats alone or with ¥á-adrenergic receptor-acting drugs, the alteration of the locomotive and rearing-activities were determined. The results were as follows; 1. At the normal rats: a) At the groups of adminstration of coptopril (2.5, 5.0, 100§¢ / §¸) and pentopril (1.0, 2.0§¢ / §¸), the significant increased, the locomotive activities were shown versus control group b) When clonidine (0.05, 0.1, 0.2§¢ / §¸) were administered, the locomotive and rearing-activities were significantly decreased c) The locomotive activities of rats administered yohimbine were different on the dose. Yohimbine (10.0§¢ / §¸) decreased the locomotive activity. d) The administrations of prazosin and ¥á-methyldopa alone or with ACELs did not influence the locomotive activity. 2. At the reserpinized rats: a) The locomotive activity and rearing activity were markedly decreased versus normal rat control. b) When captopril and pentopril were administered, the locomotive activities were increased versus the reserpinized rats, particularly pentopril (2.0§¢ / §¸) significantly increased.
